Alva Finn

Executive Director, European Liberal Forum (Ireland)

Alva Finn took over the role of Executive Director of the European Liberal Forum (ELF) on 5 April 2023. Originally from Ireland, she is a passionate leader with over 12 years of policy experience at EU, UN and national level. Alva Finn is the outgoing Secretary General of Social Platform, the largest civil society network working on social and equality issues in Europe. Prior to Social Platform, Finn worked at Save the Children, Mental Health Europe and the Irish Mission to the UN in Geneva. She has also previously worked as a consultant with the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health and with refugees and asylum seekers in Cairo during the Arab Spring. In her spare time she campaigns for change, including leading the successful diaspora campaign during the Irish abortion referendum.
