Andrej Babis

Andrej Babiš has been Prime Minister of the Czech Republic since December 2017. He served from 2014 to 2017 as Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. He graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava, majoring in foreign trade. He started his career in Chemapol in Bratislava, then moved to Petrimex. In 1993 he founded his own company Agrofert, which is currently a multinational group of 250 entities from the chemistry, agriculture, food, forestry and timber sectors, land technology, technology and transport, renewable resources and media. Since 2011, he has been the chairman of the political movement ANO, which won the second largest number of votes in the 2013 parliamentary elections.
