Karel Havlíček

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade, Minister of Transport, Government of the Czech Republic (Czech Republic)

He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech University of Ctu, pibs at Manchester Metropolitan University, completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Economics in Prague, where he also habilitated to associate professor at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting. Since the turn of the millennium, he has defended the interests of entrepreneurs, especially as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Sole Traders of the Czech Republic. As co-owner and CEO of sindat group, he has built a respected investor from this company in the areas of small and medium-sized industry and new technologies over the past twenty years. For many years he has been engaged in academia, in recent years he has been associated with the University of Finance and Administration, where he has built a faculty of economic studies and where he has prepared the study programme Economics and Management. He has written several professional books on the topic of small and medium-sized enterprises and has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles in the Czech Republic and abroad.
